Cedars Sinai has approved IRB study to evaluate sphenopalatine ganglion block with Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) to treat trigeminal neuralgia. The results of this study were presented September 4, 2019 at the EFIC Congress 2019-Pain In Europe XI, Valencia, Spain.

Dr Z has started work with the Regenerative Institute at Cedars-Sinai Hospital to look at the genomic sequencing of platelet-rich plasma in knee applications. This project will pool human data with other institutions, such as Cleveland Clinic, Hospital for Special Services, Mayo Clinic, University of Colorado, and Stanford. Additionally, application for funding from the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (CIRM) is underway for intradiscal injection of stem cells in an animal model.

Cedars Sinai has approved an IRB study to compare the response of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) versus radiofrequency ablation in the treatment of cervicogenic headache. Results were presented August 5, 2020 at the Spine Intervention Society Annual Meeting in San Diego, California.

Christopher Zarembinski, M.D. is an attending physician at the Pain Center. Specializing in anesthesiology, Dr. Zarembinski is board certified and holder of additional training certificates in pain management. Dr. Zarembinski received his degree from the University of Arizona School of Medicine. He completed his internship at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix and his anesthesiology residency at Washington University in St. Louis. He also completed a fellowship in pain management UCLA’s Anesthesiology Department. His areas of interest include:
